Rural Surveyor - Land Management & Consultancy
 
�� Northallerton
�� Up to £40,000 basic + £4,500-£5,500 car allowance + bonus
An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a highly respected and prestigious agency in their Rural Land Management and Consultancy team based in Northallerton.
 
This established team manages rural estates and provides a wide range of professional rural consultancy services. Known for their technical expertise, they work with an impressive portfolio of prestigious clients across the region.
The role offers a varied and rewarding workload combining estate management and professional consultancy, working collaboratively within a high-performing and supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Acting as principal agent for a portfolio of estate management clients
  • Undertaking estate and farming business reviews
  • Managing diversification projects across rural estates
  • Advising clients on renewable energy opportunities and development projects
  • Carrying out secured lending and other professional valuations
Team & Client Responsibilities
  • Managing and leading a sub-team within a wider high-performing department
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with an established client base
Key Skills & Experience
  • MRICS qualified Rural Surveyor with experience across a variety of rural projects
  • Strong leadership potential and ability to support and develop team members
  • Proven ability to build relationships with both new and existing clients
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to prioritise workloads and work effectively under pressure
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Professional and confident manner when dealing with clients and colleagues
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to work
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Person Specification Qualifications
  • MRICS qualified (preferably Rural pathway)
  • CAAV membership or qualification advantageous
Experience
  • Strong IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience working to deadlines within a professional environment
