Senior Associate Director Rural Land Management for a high end agency

Location: London and Stevenage

Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time

About the Role
An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated professional to join a leading Rural Land Management & Consultancy team based in London .
This role offers the chance to work with an established and respected organisation delivering a comprehensive range of rural estate, farm, and property management services, alongside expert consultancy on all aspects of rural land and assets. The team collaborates closely with specialists across Estate Agency, Estates & Farms, and Forestry, with an increasing focus on Natural Capital and Rural Diversification.
The position will primarily focus on estate and property management, overseeing key rural portfolios and driving strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
  • Acting as principal agent and lead asset manager for a key estate management client, reporting to senior leadership.
  • Overseeing the day-to-day management of estates, farms, and other rural assets.
  • Delivering secured lending and other professional valuations.
  • Coordinating input and collaboration across multiple service lines.
  • Supporting the continued growth of the business through client relationship management and business development.
  • Ensuring compliance with both internal and client standards.
  • Leading and mentoring a high-performing team on principal instructions.
  • Identifying and developing new business opportunities across the wider network.
Skills & Experience Required
  • Strong background in rural asset management, particularly in managing let farms, residential holdings, and mixed rural portfolios.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, delegate effectively, and manage workloads under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Commercially astute with an entrepreneurial mindset and a drive to grow the business.
  • Sound understanding of budgeting, resource management, and profitability.
Qualifications
  • Relevant degree or equivalent qualification.
  • MRICS qualified (preferably Rural pathway) with 3-5 years PQE.
  • CAAV/SAAVA membership or qualification advantageous.
