A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Lettings professional to take on a key leadership role within a highly reputable and well-established independent estate agency in North Devon. This is an ideal move for someone looking to step up into full responsibility of a lettings function, shape performance and lead a successful team while benefiting from strong brand presence and support.

About the Role
As Lettings Manager, you will oversee daily operations of the lettings division, ensuring high-quality service delivery, compliance, and portfolio growth. You will work closely with landlords, tenants and internal teams, offering guidance, resolving issues and ensuring efficient, compliant workflows.
This position carries both operational and commercial responsibility, offering visibility, autonomy and clear influence over business performance.
What's on Offer
  • £35,000-£40,000 package, depending on experience
  • Opportunity to lead a high-performing lettings division
  • Strong local reputation and consistent instruction pipeline
  • Full training and leadership development support
  • Genuine long-term progression
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead day-to-day lettings operations in line with company standards
  • Conduct valuations, secure instructions and oversee marketing launch
  • Support and develop team members through coaching and performance oversight
  • Maintain strong relationships with landlords, investors and partners
  • Ensure compliance with legislation and internal processes
  • Handle more complex tenancy issues, referencing, disputes and progressions
  • Actively contribute to branch strategy and revenue targets
  • Represent the brand at local level with professionalism and impact
About You
The ideal candidate will bring:
  • 2-3 years' experience within lettings, ideally in a senior negotiator or assistant manager role
  • A proven record of generating instructions, building relationships and closing deals
  • Strong leadership potential and desire to develop others
  • Solid understanding of legislation, compliance and tenancy progression
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • A proactive approach, commercial awareness and structured working style
This role suits someone ready to step into broader leadership responsibility—or someone already in management looking for a higher-profile opportunity
