HR Director (Part‑Time or Full-Time) - Senior Leadership Role
Salary: £60,000 per annum (pro rata if part time)
Location: Office‑Based, Luton. Further site in Croydon
  
About the Role
 
We're looking for an experienced, commercially minded HR Director to lead our HR function and support a fast‑growing business. This is a hands‑on, senior role where you'll work closely with the Board, shape company culture, and deliver a full end‑to‑end HR service. If you enjoy combining strategic HR leadership with practical, day‑to‑day delivery, this role offers the perfect balance.
  
Key Responsibilities

• Provide commercially focused, legally compliant HR advice
• Lead HR strategy, planning and reporting
• Oversee employee relations, including disciplinary and grievance cases
• Maintain HR documentation, contracts, policies and case files
• Coach and develop managers to strengthen leadership capability
• Manage recruitment, onboarding and HR inductions
• Lead training, development and CPD processes
• Oversee maternity, paternity, flexible working and wellbeing referrals
• Develop employee benefits and engagement initiatives
• Ensure GDPR compliance and accurate HR records
• Promote equality, diversity and inclusion
• Coordinate apprenticeships and DBS checks
• Embed and optimise BrightHR (essential)

What We're Looking For

• CIPD Level 5-7
• Minimum 5 years' experience as an HR Director or Senior HR Manager
• Strong integrity, confidentiality and resilience
• Hands‑on, proactive approach suited to a growing business
• Experience implementing or developing HR systems, especially BrightHR
• Passion for building a positive, compliant and high‑performing workforce
