Business Development Consultant
Location: Remote + Field-Based
Salary: £45,000 – £50,000
OTE: £65,000 (Uncapped Commission)
A fast-growing technology business within the UK property sector is looking for a Business Development Consultant to drive new partnerships across the estate agency market.
This is a high-impact, consultative sales role where you’ll be responsible for opening doors, building relationships, and closing deals with estate agencies by introducing an innovative platform that connects key stakeholders across the property transaction.

The Role
You’ll take ownership of the full sales cycle - from prospecting and outreach through to discovery, demonstration, and closing.
This is a hybrid role combining field-based meetings, industry events, and remote working, giving you the autonomy to build your pipeline while being supported by a collaborative team.

What You’ll Be Doing
Business Development & Prospecting
- Identify and generate new opportunities within the estate agency market
- Execute outbound campaigns via phone, email, and LinkedIn/social selling
- Build targeted prospect lists including group head offices, regional directors, and branch managers
- Craft tailored messaging aligned to each prospect’s goals and challenges
- Run structured discovery to understand tech stacks, workflows, KPIs, and pain points
- Deliver tailored, value-led sales conversations
- Build compelling business cases focused on ROI, efficiency, and customer experience
- Coordinate and support product demonstrations with internal teams
- Manage multi-stakeholder sales cycles from first contact to close
- Drive momentum by ensuring clear next steps after every interaction
- Represent the business at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities
- Build pipeline and brand presence through market engagement
- Feed insights on competitors, trends, and customer challenges back into the business
- Maintain accurate CRM records and pipeline forecasts
- Report on activity, pipeline health, and deal progression
- Ensure compliance with data protection and information security standards
What Success Looks Like
- Strong, consistent pipeline generation
- High volume of qualified meetings with decision-makers
- Opportunities progressing through demo and negotiation stages
- New partnerships signed and revenue generated
- High-quality CRM management and reporting discipline
Experience
- Proven success in B2B business development or sales
- Experience selling into estate agents, property businesses, or PropTech (highly desirable)
- Background in software, SaaS, or digital platforms (advantageous)
- Understanding of the UK residential property transaction process
- Awareness of challenges facing estate agents and property professionals
- Familiarity with sales methodologies and CRM systems
- Strong prospecting and pipeline generation capability
- Excellent consultative sales and discovery skills
- Ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder deals
- Confident communicator with strong presentation skills
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Commercially driven and results-focused
- Credible and consultative with senior stakeholders
- Self-motivated and disciplined in a remote environment
- Collaborative, relationship-led approach
