About the Company

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the leading independent estate agency on Suffolk’s Heritage Coast, a long-established and highly respected business with a five-branch network.

Renowned for their professionalism, integrity, and deep local knowledge, they represent a diverse portfolio of coastal, country, and town properties. Their continued success is built on a reputation for personal service, attention to detail, and an unwavering commitment to their clients and community.

The Role

We are seeking a hands-on, organised, and experienced Operations Manager to oversee all operational aspects of the business across its five branches.

This pivotal role will ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the company, covering areas such as HR, compliance, finance, and administration. You’ll work closely with Directors and Branch Managers to maintain consistency, efficiency, and exceptional service standards across the business.

This position would suit either:
  • An experienced Operations Manager with a proven background in estate agency or a similar multi-branch business, or
  • An exceptionally capable Administrator or Office Manager ready to step up into a broader operational leadership role.
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and coordinate the daily running of the business across all branches
  • Manage HR and staffing matters, including recruitment, onboarding, and performance management
  • Ensure compliance and auditing across all departments, maintaining up-to-date records and best practice
  • Oversee financial aspects, including budgets, supplier accounts, and general business expenditure
  • Support with day-to-day administrative duties, ensuring smooth office operations
  • Assist in building marketing materials for property listings and maintaining brand consistency
  • Implement and refine systems, processes, and operational documentation
  • Produce management reports and operational updates for the Directors
  • Coordinate training, internal communications, and team development initiatives
  • Foster a culture of professionalism, accountability, and teamwork across all offices
About You
  • Proven experience as an Operations Manager, Office Manager, or Senior Administrator
  • Estate agency, property, or professional services background preferred
  • Strong understanding of HR processes, compliance, and business administration
  • Financially literate, with strong organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Confident communicator with a proactive, supportive approach
  • IT-proficient (Microsoft Office, CRM/property systems, marketing tools)
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between branches
What’s on Offer
  • Basic salary: £30,000 – £40,000, depending on experience
  • Full-time, Monday to Friday (9:00am – 5:30pm)
  • The opportunity to play a key leadership role within a respected, independent agency
  • Varied and rewarding responsibilities across multiple offices
  • Supportive team culture and collaborative working environment
  • Long-term stability with real scope to influence business operations
