Lettings Manager - Independent Estate Agent
 
Location: Hampshire, Dorset, or South West UK (flexible within region)

Salary: £40,000-£50,000 (dependent on experience)

Role Overview
The Lettings Manager will lead the lettings team, drive growth, ensure compliance, and deliver outstanding service to landlords and tenants. This is a hands-on role for an experienced property professional ready to take ownership of lettings operations and contribute to business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day lettings operations, ensuring all properties are marketed and let efficiently
  • Manage and develop the lettings team, providing training and support
  • Drive new business generation and build strong relationships with landlords
  • Ensure compliance with lettings legislation and company procedures
  • Conduct valuations, property viewings, and negotiate tenancy agreements
  • Oversee tenant referencing, move-ins, and renewals
  • Resolve landlord and tenant queries promptly and professionally
  • Report on lettings performance and KPIs to management
Skills & Experience Required
  • Proven experience in residential lettings, ideally in a managerial or senior negotiator role
  • Strong knowledge of lettings legislation and compliance (ARLA/MNEA qualification a plus but not essential)
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team
  • Organised, proactive, and target-driven
  • Full UK driving licence
