My clients are an award winning, chartered architectural practice based in Huddersfield, who provide services nationally.
 
The role is varied, interesting and extremely rewarding, being part of a person's journey in helping them find a suitable property to rent or purchase. The role is key to the business as properties found are then managed by the Design Team to adapt or build new, accessible homes.
 
The company's list of services includes:
  • Expert Witness Services for the Court, to assess a person's property needs as a result of injury.
  • Property Finding.
  • Suitability Assessments of properties.
  • Designing and managing the on-site building process.
 
My clients are a well-established firm providing professional services to the insurance and legal industry with well over 100 companies listed as esteemed clients.
 
Due to an increase in workload, we now have an exciting opportunity for a permanent, part or full-time position for a Property Finder, to provide essential support in sourcing suitable homes for clients with access needs in their home.  
 
About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail‑oriented Property Finder to source, assess, and form part of our team to recommend suitable residential properties for our clients.
 
This role is ideal for someone with strong knowledge of the housing market, excellent communication skills, and a passion for matching people with the right homes. You will act as the first point of contact in helping clients locate properties that meet their lifestyle, accessibility, or personal needs.
 
The successful candidate will be:

Ideally based within a commutable distance to the Huddersfield office, the probationary period will require you to work full-time at our offices (3-6 months depending on your experience), to gain an understanding 0f our systems and get to know the team.
 
Be an excellent communicator with experience of client facing skills. A major part of your role will be managing a client's expectations and ensuring they are kept up to date.

Experienced in the Property Market and meet the key skills and responsibilities as described below.
 
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough searches for residential properties based on client briefs and criteria.
  • Review property listings, liaise with estate agents, and explore off‑market opportunities.
  • Carry out initial suitability assessments of properties, including layout, condition, and potential for adaptation or development.
  • Prepare property reports summarising findings, risks, suitability, and recommendations.
 
Arrange and attend property viewings on behalf of clients, once properties are found. This will include travelling to the property which could be anywhere in England and Wales.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of local residential markets, pricing trends, and neighbourhood insights.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with estate agents, and other industry contacts.
  • Communicate regularly with clients to understand their evolving needs and provide updates on progress.
  • Support clients through the negotiation process where required.
  • Work closely with internal teams (surveyors, designers, project managers) when properties require technical assessments or future works.
  • Work alongside the marketing team and the needs of the business to promote the Property Finding team at exhibitions. You will be supported and accompanied by our in-house Business Development team. Training will be made available.
 
Skills & Experience
  • Prior experience in property sourcing, residential lettings, estate agency, surveying, or a related field (preferred but not essential).
  • Strong understanding of the residential housing market.
  • Excellent communication skills with a presentable, client‑focused approach.
  • Ability to assess floor plans, general building condition, and suitability for adaptations (training can be provided).
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple searches simultaneously.
  • Confident negotiating and liaising with estate agents and vendors.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft software.
  • Full UK driving licence (as site visits will be required), with access to own personal vehicle.
