Job description

Lettings Manager - Hertfordshire

£50,000 + OTE

I'm currently working with a well-established and highly regarded estate agency in Hertfordshire that is looking to appoint an experienced Lettings Manager to lead and grow their residential lettings business.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially driven lettings professional who thrives on winning new business, leading teams, and delivering strong financial results.

The Role

As Lettings Manager, you'll take full responsibility for the performance of the lettings department. You'll be leading from the front—driving instructions, growing the portfolio, and ensuring the team consistently delivers an outstanding service to both landlords and tenants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Driving new business generation and increasing market share
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with landlords and investors
  • Managing, motivating, and developing a team of negotiators and property managers
  • Overseeing the full lettings process from instruction through to move-in
  • Monitoring performance, pipeline, and conversion rates
  • Ensuring full compliance with current lettings legislation and best practice
  • Managing budgets, targets, and overall departmental profitability
What I'm Looking For
  • Proven experience within residential lettings, ideally at Senior Negotiator, Assistant Manager, or Manager level
  • A strong track record in winning instructions and driving revenue
  • Natural leadership ability with experience managing or mentoring a team
  • Solid understanding of lettings legislation and compliance
  • Highly organised, target-driven, and commercially aware
  • Full UK driving licence
The Package
  • Realistic OTE £50,000 +
  • Clear progression opportunities within a growing business
  • Supportive, professional, and ambitious working environment
Why This Role?

This is a key hire for the business, offering real autonomy and the opportunity to make a tangible impact. You'll be joining a company with a strong local presence and an appetite for growth, where your contribution will be recognised and rewarded.
