Job description

Are you an experienced Property Manager looking to step into a busy, hands-on role with a supportive and well-established team? This could be just the move you’ve been waiting for.

We’re working with a long-standing property business based in London with a subsidiary in the heart of Manchester – 30+ years strong and growing fast. Their energetic Property Management team is looking for a confident, proactive professional who knows how to keep the wheels turning and the properties ticking over.

This is a broad, fast-paced role where no two days are the same. You’ll be supporting senior managers and the company director directly, while managing a varied portfolio. From referencing and tenancy agreements to handling move-ins and archiving files, you’ll keep the lettings side organised and compliant. You’ll manage check-ins and check-outs, handle dilapidations and deposit returns, and take the lead on any disputes when they arise.

On the maintenance front, you’ll be liaising with contractors, arranging repair works, keeping tenants informed, and ensuring nothing slips through the net. You’ll coordinate safety certificates, including Gas Safety, EICRs and EPCs, and stay on top of compliance like a pro. You’ll be the first point of contact for both tenants and landlords, fielding queries, resolving issues, and making sure everyone’s kept in the loop.

Renewals will be part of your world too – negotiating new terms, preparing contracts and keeping things ticking over smoothly. On the rent side, you’ll be reconciling payments, producing statements, chasing arrears and keeping records accurate and up to date. You’ll carry out property inspections, report on condition, and be involved in liaising with overseas landlords – including onboarding new instructions and attending face-to-face meetings when they’re in the UK. You’ll also support with general office duties such as managing keys, handling enquiries and assisting senior team members with the day-to-day.

We’re looking for someone with solid experience in property management or lettings, who thrives in a fast-moving environment and knows how to juggle competing priorities. You’ll be confident with legislation and compliance, great at communicating with everyone from tenants to contractors, and take real pride in your work. You’ll be organised, calm under pressure, and always ready to pitch in as part of the team.

This is a brilliant opportunity to join a respected, well-established company that’s still growing. You’ll get a competitive basic salary of up to £32,000, maybe more for the right individual, strong mentoring from senior leaders, and exposure across every area of property management – ideal for someone looking to push on in their career and take on more responsibility. Start date ASAP.
If that sounds like your kind of role, apply now or get in touch for a confidential chat.
