About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Conveyancer – Pod Lead to take ownership of a mixed and often complex residential conveyancing caseload while providing day-to-day leadership within a defined pod. This role suits an individual who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, is confident managing complex titles, and is motivated by driving quality, consistency, and performance.
Operating within a modern, process-driven conveyancing function, you will ensure your pod delivers exceptional client service, meets internal SLAs, and maintains high levels of regulatory compliance. This position requires strong technical ability, excellent organisational skills, and a proactive approach to developing and supporting colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage a diverse caseload of residential property transactions including leasehold, freehold, new build, shared ownership, remortgage, transfer of equity, unregistered titles, and other complex matters.
• Lead and support a conveyancing pod, providing guidance, mentoring, technical oversight, and escalation support.
• Ensure all cases progress efficiently, accurately, and in accordance with company processes and regulatory expectations.
• Act as the main point of contact for clients, providing clear updates and maintaining an exceptional standard of customer service.
• Review titles, raise and respond to enquiries, check mortgage offers, review search results, and prepare comprehensive reports.
• Uphold compliance standards including AML, data protection, due diligence, and risk management requirements.
• Drive positive client feedback and maintain strong communication across departments, stakeholders, and introducer relationships.
• Identify opportunities to enhance workflow efficiency, support continuous improvement, and contribute to operational performance targets.
• Ensure accurate use of case management systems, maintaining thorough and up-to-date records.
Skills & Experience Required
• 5+ years’ conveyancing experience (or equivalent extensive case-handling experience) with strong capability managing high-volume and complex matters independently.
• Demonstrable expertise across a range of residential transactions including new build, shared ownership, unregistered titles, leasehold, and complex arrangements.
• Experience in a supervisory, mentoring, or team-lead capacity is highly advantageous.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to support, motivate, and guide colleagues.
• Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and multi-tasking abilities.
• Confident using case management systems and digital workflows.
• Solutions-focused mindset and ability to work effectively in a fast-moving, target-driven environment.
What the Organisation Offers
• Competitive salary and quarterly performance bonuses.
• 24 days annual leave plus bank holidays (increasing with service).
• Private Medical Insurance.
• Dental & Optical Cashback Plans.
• Employee Assistance Programme.
• Enhanced benefits and reward schemes.
• Ongoing training, development opportunities, and clear progression pathways.
