Job description

Senior Lettings Negotiator (Pathway to Lister) — Bournemouth

Overview

We're looking for a Senior Lettings Negotiator with at least 2 years' residential lettings experience who's ready to take the next step. This is a great opportunity for someone who is already performing well in negotiations, renewals and progression and wants a clear development path into a Lister/Valuer role.

Location
  • Bournemouth
Salary
  • Basic: £27,000
  • OTE: £35,000
The Role

As Senior Lettings Negotiator, you'll be a key part of the lettings team—handling applicants and landlords, booking and conducting viewings, negotiating terms, and driving tenancies through to move-in. You'll also be supported to build the skills and confidence needed to move into listing/valuation, including exposure to market appraisals and learning what it takes to win instructions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Register and qualify tenants, matching applicants to suitable properties
  • Book and conduct viewings, provide feedback, and maintain strong applicant relationships
  • Negotiate tenancy terms between landlords and tenants to achieve the best outcome
  • Manage progression from offer agreed through to move-in (referencing, compliance steps, and key handover coordination)
  • Support renewals and maintain strong landlord/tenant relationships
  • Maintain accurate records on the CRM and keep communication clear and consistent
  • Work closely with colleagues to maximise pipeline performance
  • Develop towards a Lister/Valuer position by learning appraisal fundamentals and supporting instruction-winning activity

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in residential lettings (negotiation/progression)
  • Confident communicator with strong relationship-building skills
  • Commercially minded—motivated by targets and delivering results
  • Organised and proactive, with good pipeline management habits
  • Ambitious and coachable, with a genuine desire to grow into a listing role
  • Local market knowledge is a plus
  • Full UK driving licence and own car required

Why This Role
  • A clear route into listing for the right person
  • Opportunity to step up in responsibility and influence
  • Join a business that values performance, professionalism, and development
