Management Accountant
Location: Remote
Salary: £35,000 – £40,000

You’ll:
  • Drive a clean, disciplined month-end process
  • Build reliable forecasts that shape strategy
  • Provide clear insight into performance and profitability
  • Partner with leadership to influence key decisions
  
What You’ll Be Doing:
 Monthly Reporting & Close
  • Own the month-end process across the business
  • Produce accurate management accounts with full accruals and prepayments
  • Ensure consistency, accuracy, and timely reporting
Cost & Revenue Analysis
  • Track cost of sales across channels, products, and customer segments
  • Ensure accurate allocation and reconciliation of costs
  • Analyse margins and performance drivers
Budgeting & Forecasting
  • Support annual budgeting processes
  • Build and maintain rolling forecasts
  • Deliver realistic, data-backed financial projections
Variance Analysis & Insight
  • Investigate and explain variances vs budget and prior performance
  • Translate financial data into clear, actionable insights
  • Highlight risks, trends, and opportunities
Controls & Process Improvement
  • Strengthen financial controls and transaction accuracy
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate reporting
  • Improve systems and processes as the business scales
  
What We’re Looking For
  • 2–4 years’ experience in management accounting or finance operations
  • Strong technical grounding (accruals, prepayments, month-end, cost allocation)
  • Advanced Excel skills with the ability to build models and dashboards
  • High attention to detail - accuracy is non-negotiable
  • Commercial awareness - you understand the “why” behind the numbers
  • Confident communicator able to present insights clearly
  • Proactive, self-starting mindset with a focus on improvement
  • Comfortable working in a fast-growing, evolving environment
