Head of Commercial Property Management
Location: Colchester, Essex

The Opportunity
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head of Commercial Property Management to lead an established commercial property management function covering a varied portfolio across Essex and Suffolk.
This is a senior position combining team leadership, client management, portfolio performance and business development, with the opportunity to play a key role in the continued growth of the department.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop the commercial property management team.
• Oversee the management of a varied commercial property portfolio.
• Act as the senior point of contact for key clients.
• Manage lease events, rent collection, arrears, service charges, repairs and compliance.
• Oversee departmental budgets, fee income and profitability.
• Ensure properties are managed in line with legislation and professional standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve portfolio and asset performance.
• Develop existing client relationships and help secure new management instructions.
• Continually improve departmental processes, systems and service standards.

About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Significant commercial property management experience.
• Strong knowledge of commercial leases, service charges and landlord & tenant matters.
• Previous experience leading and developing a team.
• Excellent client relationship and communication skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and a proactive approach to business development.
• MRICS qualification would be advantageous.
• Full UK driving licence.
